The company was established in 2017 and is family-owned and operated. We offer domiciliary and complex home care services across the North of England and Wales which are delivered through our extensive branch network. In addition to our regional services, live-in care services are provided nationally across the whole of England and Wales.
Fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), we are committed to ensuring that our service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. We offer a fully managed service that can start in as little as 24 hours, with a care package that is unique to you.

Complex Home Care Services
Alcedo Care is a leading provider of Complex Care across the North of England and Wales.
Our team consists of highly experienced nurse-led carers who have a wealth of knowledge in supporting clients, with complex care needs, in the comfort of their homes. Recently, we achieved the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award, recognising our Complex Care training courses that enable us to upskill our carers and deliver tailored, high-quality clinical care for people with a wide range of complex needs.
With the extensive and multi-disciplinary experience of our nurses, we can provide care and support to individuals of all ages (including babies) who have different complex care conditions including but not limited to:
- Acquired and Traumatic Brain Injury
- Spinal Injuries
- Seizures & Epilepsy
- Stoma, Bowel and Catheter Care
- Neurological Conditions such as Motor-Neurone Diseases, Parkinson’s, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Stroke
- Airway Management – including Tracheostomy, Ventilation Care, Tracheal, Suction, and Cough Assist - working along with the Physiotherapists.
- Nippy and NIPPV (Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation) - working alongside your ventilation management team.
Complex care conditions vary from client to client as everyone’s situation is unique. Whilst some might be temporary, others could be long-term health conditions. Therefore, we are able to provide either short-term care or longer-term care packages.
Our clinical team will conduct a full care assessment to ensure a safe and effective care plan is provided, tailored to the unique client’s needs.
