About Us

Fairlie Healthcare is a leading specialist complex care provider for people living with complex neurological & respiratory conditions. The company has more than 26 years’ experience in specialist care for adults requiring ventilator support and tracheostomies, and those with altered states of consciousness.

Fairlie Healthcare operates three care centres across London and the southeast:

Person-centred, safe and effective care comes from a multi-disciplinary team that includes speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, as well recreational and social care that centres around the needs of every patient.

Close relationships with NHS discharge teams, consultants and commissioners mean Fairlie Healthcare understands where the pressures are and what capacity is needed in the community.

Fairlie is the first care provider in the UK to offer on-site haemodialysis.  Developed in partnership with King’s College NHS Foundation Trust, the service facilitates the discharge of renal patients with complex or ventilation needs.

Fairlie Healthcare has a number of established clinical admission pathways to support complex discharges from either hospitals or community settings.

The most established pathways are for tracheostomy and ventilation cases with a dynamic person-centred operating model.  Fairlie also has a slow stream rehabilitation pathway for step down and longer term placements.

Respite and short-term placements are available to bridge the gap between costly hospital stays and more permanent solutions.  Quarterly assessments for Tier 1 patients ensure each person is funded at the right level as their needs change, rather than the care package they arrived with.

Fairlie Healthcare is also skilled in complex enteral feeding from PEG/PEJ, TPN, NG and NJ feeding to facilitate earlier step down into non-acute beds in the community, saving budget without compromising on standards of care.

Fairlie Healthcare continues to drive innovation and collaboration in the sector with new pathways being developed for spinal injuries, brain injuries, complex enteral feeding (NG/NJ/TPN etc) and haemodialysis.
